What’s the difference between Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo and on the DS?

I have known for a while that Chrono Trigger was ported to the DS. I would buy myself a copy of the SNES version but they’re not cheap. I was gonna buy the DS version but I don’t know what they added/removed and how faithful it was to the SNES masterpiece.

I went back in time and asked Melchoir, but I’m still waiting for an answer.
